Memorial Day Weekend

A lot has been happening since the last time I wrote.  Lets start in order and then I will get to the disaster that was today!  :)

Last week I had my last day at work.  My bosses asked me to stay on part time and continue working throughout the summer from home.  It's only a couple hours a day and I can pretty much work from anywhere since I will be making phone calls from my cell phone and emails are pretty easy to respond to on a regular basis.  So all is good on the job front!  :)

THEN, I got to go home for Memorial Day Weekend!!  It was awesome!  I got to see my grandma, aunts and uncles, my parents and my sister with her family!  It was great.  I love my little nephew, he is soo much fun.  For the first few hours I was there, he just kept looking at me like I've seen you before, but I don't know who you are.  Then, he realized I would play with him and chase him around the back yard, so we become best friends. hahaha.  It was a great way to recharge my batteries and get energized for getting everything together here.  I am going to be back in Wisconsin in about a month for the entire month of July, but I have so much stuff to get ready before I leave.  As you can see, the checklist is still not complete.  It was great seeing everyone and just what I needed to help me get back on track here in Miami.

As for today, I woke up with big plans.  I was going to wake up at 9am, go get my pictures taken for the university, go to the consulate to get my visa and then go to the dentist at 12:30!  It was going to be GREAT! 

The reality was a little bit different however....  I woke up at 10:30ish.  The guy at the photo place didn't understand what tamano infantil and tamano titulo ovalado meant so, no pictures have been taken yet, I was running late to the dentist and ended up going to the wrong office... I didn't realize that my appointment was ACTUALLY at noon, not 12:30!! and would have been an hour late, so I had to reschedule for tomorrow.. then by the time all this was over, the consulate hours for visa approval was already done!  Go figure the consulate would only allow people to get visas from 8-11am!  So, in the end today I have written a few emails to the university and had time to write to you all.  Productive?? Unproductive??    You decide!  :)

Tomorrow, I have an eye doctor appointment at 9:30am, then I plan to go to the consulate right after, then my dentist appointment is at 1pm and after that I will hopefully have an answer from the University so I can get the pictures anytime from 2-6pm!  Hope it works this time! Wish me luck!
